The Egyption operators Nilesat 201 satellite is to be launched at 9.26pm today (4 aug 2010) form the Guiana Space center by Arianespace.

The satellite will be fitted with 24 ku band transponders and 3 ka band transponders to provide TV services.
The orbital position of the new satellite will be at 7 degrees west (7W), the reception in the Uk is expected to be very poor, as the services are aimed at the Middle East.
